IndiGo Website Down? Booking System Faces Technical Glitch, Web Check-In and Ticket Bookings Hit

New Delhi, August 19, 2026: IndiGo, India’s largest airline, faced a technical disruption on Wednesday after problems with its core reservation platform affected some customers trying to book flights and complete online check-in.

Passengers reported difficulties searching for flights, booking tickets and accessing web check-in through the airline’s website and mobile app. Some users encountered messages such as “No Data Available” and “No flights found” while searching for flights.

IndiGo Confirms Reservation System Glitch

IndiGo acknowledged that its core reservation platform was experiencing intermittent issues. The airline said its technical teams were working with a partner on priority to resolve the disruption.

The airline has not disclosed the specific cause of the technical problem or identified the partner involved in fixing the issue.

The disruption affected some users attempting to access online services, although it was not reported as a complete shutdown of all IndiGo operations.

Ticket Bookings Hit

Passengers attempting to book flights through IndiGo’s website reported that flight searches were not returning normal results.

Reuters also reported that its journalists in at least three Indian cities were unable to book tickets through the IndiGo website, which displayed a “no data available” message. A separate travel booking platform also showed a technical-problem message related to the airline’s systems.

The problems were not limited to IndiGo’s website. Some passengers also reported difficulties using the airline’s mobile application and third-party booking platforms.

Web Check-In Also Affected

Online check-in was another major area impacted by the reservation-system problem.

Several customers reported that they could not complete web check-in through either the website or mobile app. This created additional concern for passengers with flights scheduled for the same day.

IndiGo advised passengers who need immediate travel assistance to contact its Contact Centre. Those travelling later were advised to try accessing the website or app again after some time.

Passengers who are unable to complete online check-in should also allow extra time at the airport and keep their booking details and identification documents readily available.

What Should IndiGo Passengers Do?

Passengers affected by the outage can take the following steps:

  • If your flight is departing soon: Contact IndiGo’s Contact Centre for assistance.
  • If you cannot complete web check-in: Try again after some time and consider reaching the airport earlier than usual.
  • If a booking payment was made but the ticket was not confirmed: Avoid making repeated payments until the original transaction status is clear.
  • If you are travelling later: IndiGo has advised passengers to retry the website or app.
  • Keep your PNR and payment details: These may be required if customer support needs to investigate a failed booking.

IndiGo’s web check-in service normally allows passengers to access their booking using their PNR and last name.

No Confirmed Cause Yet

As of Wednesday evening, IndiGo had acknowledged the intermittent reservation-platform problems but had not publicly provided a detailed explanation of what caused the disruption or given a specific restoration deadline.

The airline said it was working with its partner to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and apologised to customers for the inconvenience.

The latest outage comes months after IndiGo faced a much larger operational crisis in December 2025, when thousands of flights were cancelled amid a combination of operational and technology-related challenges.

IndiGo Website and App Users Face Temporary Disruption

For passengers, the immediate concern is whether bookings, check-ins and other online services will return to normal quickly.

The incident highlights how heavily modern airline operations depend on reservation technology. When a core booking platform experiences problems, the impact can quickly spread across flight searches, ticket purchases, online check-in and travel-management services.

For now, IndiGo has asked passengers requiring urgent assistance to contact its support centre, while passengers with later travel plans should retry the website or app after some time.

The IndiGo reservation-system disruption is intermittent, and the airline says its teams are working to restore normal online services.
