Potassium Drops to 3.2 mEq/L
Doctors said Wangchuk’s serum potassium level is 3.2 mEq/L, which is below the normal range and requires close observation. He is also experiencing persistent low blood sugar, despite receiving oral rehydration salts (ORS) and potassium syrup as part of his treatment. Medical experts have warned that prolonged fasting can lead to electrolyte imbalance, dehydration, and complications affecting vital organs.
Continues to Decline IV Fluids
Hospital authorities stated that Wangchuk has continued to refuse intravenous (IV) fluids and glucose, despite repeated medical advice. Doctors are maintaining continuous monitoring and conducting regular clinical evaluations to ensure his condition does not deteriorate further.
