Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has reportedly opted to travel in economy class instead of using a private jet, following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal for fuel conservation amid the ongoing tensions in West Asia.
The move is being viewed as part of a broader message from the central leadership encouraging restraint and responsible use of resources during a period of global uncertainty and rising energy concerns.
Sources said Fadnavis chose a commercial economy flight for his recent travel, aligning with the Prime Minister’s call to minimise unnecessary expenditure and conserve fuel wherever possible.
The development comes at a time when governments across the world are closely monitoring the impact of geopolitical tensions on crude oil prices, fuel supply chains, and overall economic stability.
