Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat has emphasized the importance of promoting mother tongues and maintaining social harmony, stating that “the country belongs to everyone” and that unity must remain the foundation of India’s progress.
Addressing a gathering at a public event, Bhagwat said language should be viewed as a medium of cultural identity and emotional connection rather than a source of division. He strongly advocated for the use and preservation of mother tongues, noting that native languages play a crucial role in education, cultural continuity, and societal development.
“The country belongs to everyone, and every community, language, and tradition has equal importance in strengthening the nation,” Bhagwat said while stressing the need for mutual respect and inclusiveness in society.
The RSS chief also highlighted the importance of social harmony and collective responsibility in building a stronger India. He urged citizens to move beyond differences related to caste, language, and region and focus on national unity and shared values.
Bhagwat stated that education in one’s mother tongue helps improve understanding, confidence, and cultural awareness among students. He added that India’s linguistic diversity should be celebrated as a strength rather than treated as a challenge.
