New Delhi: The CJP has clarified that it is not a political party but a people’s pressure group, as it officially launched its nationwide public outreach initiative titled “Kya Bolti Public”.

Speaking at the launch event, CJP leaders said the campaign is aimed at directly engaging with citizens, understanding their concerns, and amplifying public opinion on issues ranging from governance and public services to employment, education, healthcare, and civic infrastructure.

‘Not Contesting Elections’

Addressing speculation over its political ambitions, CJP representatives emphasized that the organization has no immediate plans to contest elections. Instead, they described the group as a platform that seeks to influence public policy by creating awareness, mobilizing citizens, and holding governments accountable through democratic means.

According to the leadership, the objective is to act as a bridge between the public and policymakers by highlighting grassroots issues and encouraging constructive dialogue.

What Is the ‘Kya Bolti Public’ Tour?

The “Kya Bolti Public” tour is designed as a nationwide outreach campaign in which CJP members will travel across cities, towns, and villages to interact directly with people. Through public meetings, community interactions, and digital engagement, the organization aims to gather feedback on local and national issues affecting citizens.

The campaign will focus on documenting people’s concerns and presenting them before the relevant authorities while advocating for policy changes where necessary.

Focus on Citizen-Centric Issues

CJP said the initiative will prioritize issues such as:

  • Employment opportunities and economic growth
  • Quality education and skill development
  • Accessible healthcare
  • Rising cost of living
  • Women’s safety
  • Urban infrastructure and civic amenities
  • Transparency and government accountability

The organization believes that sustained public participation is essential for strengthening democratic governance and ensuring that policy decisions reflect citizens’ aspirations.

A Pressure Group, Not a Political Outfit

CJP reiterated that its role is to function as a people’s pressure group, using peaceful and democratic methods to influence public policy. The organization maintained that it intends to work with citizens, civil society organizations, and stakeholders rather than operate as an electoral political party.

Political observers note that such citizen-led campaigns can shape public discourse by bringing local issues into the national conversation, even without directly participating in elections.

Looking Ahead

The “Kya Bolti Public” tour is expected to cover multiple states over the coming months, with public interactions planned across urban and rural regions. CJP says the findings from these engagements will be compiled into reports and recommendations that will be shared with governments and policymakers.

The campaign marks the organization’s latest effort to position itself as a platform for citizen engagement, emphasizing dialogue, accountability, and participatory democracy over electoral politics.
