In a surprising turn of events, the makers of Bigg Boss 8, which is being hosted by Salman Khan have decided on extending the high voltage reality show. Yes, Bigg Boss 8, which was supposed to end on January 4, 2015 has got a month’s extension.
And guess what? Salman won’t be hosting the show from January 4 and it’s director Farah Khan, who will take over as the host of nation’s most controversial reality show. Shocking, no?
“The makers have planned to extend the show for a month. The production team had a meeting with the contestants for almost an hour and discussed the idea of extending the show for a month. Most of the contestants inside have agreed for it,” reveals a source closely associated with the show.
Since Salman‘s contract expires in January, the production team started looking out for his replacement. The makers first approached Karan Johar and Anil Kapoor to replace the Kick actor, but after they refused, Farah came on board.
“Salman can’t host the show after the first week of January due to his choc-a-bloc schedule. Hence, after a lot of negotiations, they finally roped in Farah as the host,” adds the source.
