The Cincinnati Reds might’ve fallen to the Cleveland Indians 5-3 on Sunday, but Reds closer Aroldis Chapman made history.

Chapman became the fastest major league pitcher to 500 strikeouts. Ever.

It only took Chapman 292 innings to get to the mark, beating previous record holder Craig Kimbrel of the San Diego Padres who accomplished the feat in his 302nd inning earlier this season.

Chapman pitched two scoreless innings, giving up one hit and a walk, but taking down five batters in the process. The Reds ultimately lost after Pedro Villareal gave up two runs in the 11th inning.
